Out with the Old in with the New

We started demo of our kitchen on Thursday July 6th 2017.  That same day we went to Rancho Las Lomas for Storytime with the Animals.  They read the kids a story about a parrot, then let the kids make the parrots a toy to hide treats in and then the kids got to meet the parrots and watch them play with the toys.  We went with our neighborhood friends: Marta, Lucas, Nikolas, Jane, Sagan, Julia, Jake and JP. It was hot but the kids loved seeing the  Macaw birds, parrots, white tiger, zebras, etc.  

After swim lessons for Addie on Thursday we drove to my parents' house who were gracious enough to let us stay for 2 nights until the house was safe enough for Andrew (who gets into everything).  We went swimming with Auntie Hilary in Uncle Jordan's pool, watched Papa start his Camaro after a bunch of reno, swim in Nana & Papa's pool, play with the doggies and utterly destroy their house.

4th of July

For the 4th of July we went to Eric & Ashly's.  It was Jame's first fourth, so you know, Costa Mesa put on the best show of illegal fireworks for him (he was asleep, and so was Andrew!) It was a hot one, so the kids played in the swim pool and enjoyed spraying Eric with the misters.  Ashly is always a great hostess and served up some burgers and hotdogs.

On July 3rd Steven had the day off so we invited our neighborhood friends for our Kitchen's Last Meal party.  Really we just smoked some chicken and tri-tip and had Julia, Justin, Marta & Anton over with the kids.  The kids had a blast throwing water balloons at all the dads.
