Week 2 of Summer

This week has been BUSY considering it's supposed to be summer vacation. We spent a couple of days at the pool, got our house measured for new windows (twice!), went to We Rock The Spectrum Kids Gym with friends, Addie's gymnastics, Addie's swim lessons, reviewed our new kitchen designs, picked out our granite countertop slabs at the slab yard, bought a refrigerator, oven, microwave, sink and dishwasher, oh yeah and I got my hair done. It's only Thursday and I've spent a crazy amount of $$. Our kitchen remodel is supposed to start a week from today! Then new windows the first week of August. Super excited about our house "face lift," but at the same time I'm afraid of what will transpire. Addie had her first official gymnastics class. She was super excited and picked out her favorite (handmedown) leotard to wear. SHE put it on HERSELF and we went to class. During her class, I asked myself, "Why are her butt cheeks hanging out? And Why is it so baggy in the front?" She put on her leotard on backwards her first day! The whole time she kept picking her wedgie lol

This is spaghetti that I burnt...How do you burn spaghetti?? Addie and Andrew escaped into my garden. Addie picked (orange and green)tomatoes, and Andrew was eating rocks. :(

Our 9th Wedding Anniversary in Lake Arrowhead

For our Anniversary we booked a last minute trip to Lake Arrowhead. We stayed in an awesome cabin (minus the lack of air conditioning!) that had a hot tub, fire pit on the balcony and some cool bunkbeds that the kids loved to run around and climb all over. Staying there allowed us access to Lake Arrowhead. So we went to both swimming clubs and got great shade locations to beat some of the heat. Addison pretty much spent the day in the water with her new found swimming confidence due to her swim lessons. She told Steven, "Let swim all the way across!" Umm Ok Addie! We ate ice cream and went in the hot tub both days and cooked back at the cabin. It was a nice little family get away

9th Anniversary

Happy 9th Anniversary to the best husband ever. He's seen me good, bad and ugly haha. I wouldn't choose anyone else to conquer life with. Love you sooooo much babe!

Swim & Park

Summer is for swimming and park....the past two days have been park in the morning, pool in the afternoon. Yesterday was Heritage park in Irvine and swimming at Emily's pool, today was Promenade Park in Baker Ranch (awesome shaded park!) and swim lessons in the afternoon.

Summer the first 4 days

Summer started with Grandma watching the kiddos while Grandpa golfed. Addie got to cook cookies with Grandma! She loved it. Then she had her first sleepover at Grace & Josh's house before father's day. She had such a great time despite seeing "stripes" that woke her up early. Sunday was father's day and we went out to Kishi for lunch to celebrate all the dads. Monday all the Egge's met up at Bolsa Chica SB to be together for the anniversary of Nate's passing. Everyone was in good spirits and enjoyed each other's company. Tuesday Addison had her first actual gymnastics class. We were going to open gym regularly after I had Andrew. Addie absolutely loved it. Shy for a second then she was listening great, walking the balance beam, doing sumersault down a foam incline, a cartwheel, uneven bars, climbed a rock wall, jumped in the foam pit, and did handstands (yup upside down against the wall). She did great, went home and showed Daddy how to do a handstand. lol Oh yeah, my kids love spaghetti and Andrew loves to wash the dishes.
