We definitely got our dose of big trees in our travels from Prairie Creek Redwoods to Humboldt Redwood SP to Richardson Grove Redwood SP. We drove the Avenue of the Giants in Humboldt Redwoods State Park. This was a beautiful parallel road to the 101 and highly recommended. They have a tour map of all the things to see along the road and we did most of them. My Favorite was probably the Big Tree...it is unbelievable! Then we set up camp at our next primitive cabin in Richardson Grove SP. The kids loved staying on the campgrounds because they could scooter a bunch!
