Our first full day in Kauai we played at the pool, more pool, and more pool. The pools at the Grand Hyatt were amazing. There was Addie's favorite which she called the beach, where it was sand filled and more like a lagoon that you can just walk into. The other pool weaved it's way down the terraced lounge area. It literally took about a half hour to walk along all the in's and out's of the pool. Going under two wood walkways, a water slide, and a waterfall. Each morning we had an awesome breakfast which overlooked the ocean and one of the Koi ponds. There was a server at breakfast that totally reminded me of Uncle Tom, he snuck over and fed the Koi for Addie in a place where it's probably frowned upon to feed them. He was goofy, sweet and Addie totally enjoyed watching the fish. Luckily, the hotel allows you to feed the fish (their own fish food) so we had to feed the Koi each morning, which Addie got a kick out of. There was a resident swan that enjoyed snapping at the workers and pick up the left overs that the fish couldn't get. We went over to the shopping area and ate at Savage Shrimp. Ehhh I wouldn't eat there again, there's much better options!
