Our last full day on Kauai. We wanted to check out some more local beaches so we headed to Tunnels beach. Parking is a ....well lets say there's no parking so we parked where we could and walked. It was beautiful and worth the journey. We sat underneath the trees overhanging the beach which shielded us from the occasional shower. Steven went out and snorkeled. There's a really shallow reef that you have to shimmy over and then the ocean floor drops off "Finding Nemo style." There are tunnels that you can swim into and venture around in. Hence, the beach's name, Tunnels. While wading around we spotted some of my little brother's ass and feet that he left there a few years ago while trying to surf this place. We go to find out after we left, this is the location where the movie, "Soul Sufer" got her arm bit off in 2003 by a tiger shark. Thanks Eric!
