Crater Lake and Anniversary

When planning this road trip we wanted to celebrate our anniversary by going to Crater Lake which was one of the stops we had skipped when we drove up here before kids.  When Steven did his state project on Oregon in 5th grade it was a place he always wanted to visit.  So we did! We stayed at Rocky Mountain Resort on Klamath Lake, OR. It was a rustic cabin right on the river the only downside was the mosquitoes! Luckily we came prepared with bug spray!

We drove up to Crater Lake and man was it beautiful! It is so blue, bluer than the sky and any ocean I have seen. The kids were impartial to the lake, all they wanted to do was play in to snow... YES snow in June! It was a lucky surprise that the kids got their first snow experience on Crater Lake!

We then drove quite far, because we are pretty much out in the middle of nowhere to a super Walmart to restock on food and snacks! We BBQed some steaks and veggies and opened a bottle of wine we bought at Oso Libre winery in Paso Robles to toast our 11 year anniversary. ❤️❤️
